Working with Team Timbs to protect Hong Kong's countryside and promote sustainable development

To promote the environmentally friendly "Leave No Trace" approach to the mountains, Naturehike supported Timberland and HIKE EXIT's inaugural "Team Timbs" event on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Needle Mountains. The event brought together a group of mountain influencers for a guided hike in the mountains. Kaffeejen barista Melon prepared pour-over coffee for the participants. The group also enjoyed a barbecue at the BBQ area, and a raffle concluded the event, leaving everyone feeling incredibly happy.

Climb up the Needle Hill and overlook the beautiful city gate

A group of more than ten people set out that day, led by hiking experts HIKE EXIT, who led the group up the MacLehose Trail from Shing Mun Reservoir to Needle Hill, a hike perfect for beginners. The group of KOLs reached the summit before noon, enjoying panoramic views of Shing Mun Reservoir, Tai Mo Shan, Lion Rock, and other peaks. The entire journey took about three hours.

Sponsor eco-friendly straight-handled cups for instant pour-over coffee

Naturehike has always provided professional outdoor equipment and supplies to hikers. This time, Naturehike provided participants with eco-friendly walnut mugs. Kaffeejen's resident barista, Melon, used these mugs to prepare a fragrant pour-over coffee for each participant, allowing participants to enjoy a warm cup of coffee after completing their hike.

BBQ around the fire and chat about the mountains and wilds

In addition to enjoying pour-over coffee in Naturehike walnut mugs, the event also included a barbecue. The host had reminded participants to bring their own utensils, so everyone did. Gathered around the stove, they grilled chicken wings while chatting with fellow hikers about their adventures in the mountains.

To maximise the atmosphere, Timberland hosted a raffle during the barbecue, with Naturehike providing wooden cups as prizes. Other prizes were also provided by Timberland. Naturehike also wanted to ensure every participant left with a bang, offering a 15% discount coupon for all Naturehike hiking products.

The wooden cups were well received by participants and incorporated into the outdoor atmosphere.

The resident baristas and attendees expressed their love for Naturehike's walnut mugs, praising their aesthetic, particularly the wood's appeal, as it perfectly blends into the camping experience. Besides enjoying pour-over coffee, they also used them to serve grilled food.
